Clean Straw
-
Each Clean Straw bag covers approximately 100 square feet when applied at a depth of 2–3 inches. This coverage is equivalent to about two standard square bales. Since bale sizes can vary due to manual production, using 100 square feet per bag as a guideline is the most reliable method for planning your project.
-
To estimate the number of Clean Straw bags required:
Measure the total square footage of your bed space.
Divide that number by 100.
This calculation provides the number of bags needed. If you've previously used bales, divide your prior bale count by two to determine the equivalent number of bags.
-
Clean Straw is efficiently packaged with 40 bags per pallet, offering coverage for approximately 4,000 square feet, equivalent to 80-100 standard bales. A full trailer accommodates 26 pallets, totaling 1040 bags. For smaller quantities, we can connect you with a local distributor to meet your needs.
-
Clean Straw boasts an impressive shelf life. When shielded from the elements, it retains its color for years. To maintain quality, store it away from direct sunlight and moisture. We offer UV-protective covers and perforated bags for outdoor storage solutions.
-
All our pine straw products, including Clean Straw, are 100% natural and free from chemical treatments. Our wheat straw bags are treated with an organic tackifier—a natural adhesive that is safe for humans, plants, and animals.
-
Spreading Clean Straw is straightforward:
Tear the bag along the perforations on the back.
Remove the pine straw by the handful, noting that it becomes easier with each handful.
We recommend applying it to a depth of 2–3 inches to ensure complete coverage and to conceal any previous ground cover.

Longleaf is typically considered a premium product due to its longer-lasting color and greater coverage area
